The new feature will be available in the Android version of Google Meet in the next two weeks. According to the company, custom backgrounds will help you display your personality in a more graceful way, as well as hide your surroundings while maintaining privacy. Explaining the feature, Google said in an official blog post, “Translated captions will solve language problems in Google Meet video calls anywhere in the world. The feature will also be especially effective in education, as live translated captions will be especially helpful in maintaining connections between students who speak different languages than instructors. It will also make it easier to connect with students who speak other languages. ”

Google Workspace Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, and Teaching and Learning Upgrade users can now access this feature by signing in to the beta program.
