The banking app, even McDonalds' app is not working after the update on OnePlus 8 phone.

Several OnePlus 8 users have faced a serious problem. Users of this flagship smartphone claim that they are unable to use several banking apps, including Google Pay, on their phones after the Oxygen OS 11.0.9.9.IN21BA update.

Mentioning his problem, a user told OnePlus Forum, “I just got the Oxygen OS 11.0.9.9.IN21BA update on my OnePlus 8 phone and installed it via local update (using Oxygen Updater). But after the new update I'm having trouble using Google Pay on the phone. The phone's screen shows that my device can't be used for contactless payments because it doesn't meet security standards. Everything was working fine on my phone before the update. ”

Another user told Reddit, “After installing version 11.0.9.9IN21BA on the phone, Google Pay informs me that my phone does not match the security requirements and GP is now disabled. I didn't root the phone or do anything like that. ” Several other OnePlus 8 users have complained that their banking app, or even McDonalds' app, is not working as a result of this update.

According to a report by the Android Authority, a user has learned that this issue is due to the OnePlus 8 failing Google's SafetyNet verification after the update. For those of you who don't know, Google's SafetyNet ensures that a specific phone runs on genuine and certified software. If a device fails SafetyNet verification, streaming and other premium apps as well as financial apps stop working on the device.

This type of problem usually occurs when a phone is rooted. But the important thing is that OnePlus 8 users have reported that they have not rooted their phone, yet they are facing this problem. However, OnePlus has not yet officially acknowledged the problem. It is hoped that the company will come up with some way to solve this problem for the convenience of users.
