Introduces Smart TV X 2022 models with 55-inch and 65-inch displays and 120Hz refresh rate in China

Under-brand Xiaomi brand Redmi has introduced two new 55-inch smart TV models with 65-inch displays that support 120Hz refresh rate. Both models will be equipped with features dedicated to watching sports and play such as the MEMC (Motion Estimation Motion Compensation) for smooth motion and 4K resolution. Both models support FreeSync Premium and Dolby Vision. It has also received official recommendations from the Xbox team in China.

Details of Redmi Smart TV X

The Redmi Smart TV X is equipped with a UHD display on both 55-inch and 65-inch display sizes with a greyscale response time of 6.5ms, 10bit (8bit + FRC) color depth support, and color spread of P3 of P4. In addition, Redmi TV models support FreeSync Premium and Dolby Vision. The Redmi Smart TV X display features a refreshing 120Hz range and MEMC with an enhanced viewing experience. The TV supports Auto Low Latency Mode where the TV can switch to play mode with 4 ms latency as soon as you connect the console or PC. When watching video or live TV, videos can be converted to 120 fps by TV.

For audio, the Redmi Smart TV X comes with four built-in 12.5W speakers with Dolby Atmos support and microphones that can detect your voice from a distance with voice commands. The TV is powered by a MediaTek MTK 9650 processor, this 22nm chipset incorporates a Mali-G52 2EE MC1 GPU and features up to 1T AI computing power paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In addition, Redmi TV has MediaTek's AI-PQ base as well as AI-AQ image and audio enhancements.

Other specifications include HDMI 2.0 (ARC), one HDMI 2.1 (4K 120Hz) port, one AV, one ATV / DTMB, two USB ports, one S / PDIF, RJ-45 one, and four Mic arrays to support the voice of the remote field. Both TVs have a whole metal body, including a metal base.

Price of Redmi TV Smart X and availability

The Redmi Smart TV X 55-inch costs CNY 2,999 (approx. INR Rs 35,100), while the Redmi Smart TV X 65-inch costs CNY 3,999 (approx. INR Rs 46,800). Redmi TVs will only be available in China with one black color option. It will go on sale on October 31 in China. There is no information on when these devices will launch in India.
