The Redmi Watch 2 will feature a larger AMOLED display than the one found on the original Redmi Watch, the Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi featured on Weibo. The new Redmi Watch model will launch it along with the Redmi Note 11 series next week. The smartwatch is expected to provide a list of attribute tracking features - in addition to providing real-time notifications from a connected phone. Redmi launched the first generation Redmi Watch in November last year. That model comes with 5ATM water resistant construction and offers features including heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking.

According to the official assistant posted to Weibo, the Redmi Watch 2 will feature a 1.6-inch AMOLED display. This comes as an upgrade to the original Redmi Watch with a 1.6-inch LCD.

The AMOLED display on the new model is expected to bring deeper dark levels and better contrast compared to the previous model. It can also help bring improved battery life as AMOLED panels are considered better than their LCD counterparts when it comes to energy efficiency.
