The hacker forum has sold 1.5 billion Facebook users' phone numbers, usernames and personal details

Beware,1.5billion Facebook us-ernames, phone numbers and personal information are sold in hacker forums

This time, the personal information of about 1.5 billion Facebook users was seen being sold on hacker forums! An online report recently claimed this. Most of the leaked data was publicly available. Hackers take advantage of this opportunity. The leak came after Facebook  and their owners WhatsApp and Instagram became obsolete. Although there is no mutual connection between these two events. According to a privacy research company, hackers target publicly available data when manipulating information. They contain information about name, address, phone number, location, gender, etc.

The online report compares the above data leaks to data scraping. Collecting information available to the public, creating a database of them and using them, then we can call it data scraping. There are several ways hackers can scrap data. In this case, they can get the job done by keeping the users busy in online quiz or Trivia. Then they try to deceive people by using fake information.

From the aforementioned reports we learn that a long-running scraping business has helped hackers steal information. However, the post of selling information has been removed from the hacker forum for now. The post was removed after Facebook applied, the report said. On the other hand, some buyers of the forum handed over the money to the seller, but they did not get any information!

Note that in April this year, the personal information of about 533 million  Facebook users was leaked illegally. As a result, about 32 million Americans, 11 million British and 6 million Indian users lost important data security. Facebook CEO,  Mark Zuckerberg  himself came to the media as the victim of the incident.
