End of Free Day? Instagram brings subscription feature

While the Instagram subscription service is available in India for a monthly fee of Rs. 89.

Recently, a new policy of providing subscription-based services on an experimental basis is being followed on various social media platforms. According to this policy, users will have to pay a subscription fee to view the exclusive content of the creator of their choice. In other words, the term of watching your favorite content for free is over. After paying the subscription fee, some of the people have to go around on social media.

We do not need to go too far to see the application of the above policy. Subscription-based services can be found on popular Instagram applications owned by Meta. The authority of the photo-sharing app is currently experimenting with this feature. It is expected that they will make this feature available to a wider user base very soon.

Note that a new In-App Purchase option has already been added to the App Store listing for Instagram users in the US. The option has been released under the name 'Instagram Subscriptions'. The Sensor Tower report first draws attention to this change.

In India, there is an Instagram subscription available in the App Store listing for Rs 89 per month. Previously, a monthly subscription of Rs 89 has been seen for receiving badges as an in-app purchase. Later this price increased to 449 rupees. Meanwhile, Instagram CEO Adam Moseri said earlier this year that they were thinking of launching a new subscription-based model, mainly for creators. However, no official announcement has been made yet.

The Instagram Subcriptions service will be available in India for Rs 89 per month although residents of the United States are open to subscriptions at multiple prices. In this case, they can choose a $ 0.99 or $ 4.99 subscription pack.

In addition to Instagram, a new version of Twitter called Twitter Blue has been released. This is known as the subscription based version of the popular microblogging site.
