It has been 10 years since the French automobile company Renault entered India. The company has brought different models of cars in the market of this country. However, one of them is most in demand, whose name is Renault Kwid. It has recently been announced that the 4 lakhth unit of this car will be handed over to a customer. Renault Kwid has become one of the most popular names in the small car segment of India, 5 years after its debut in the domestic market.

Renault said the car was built with Indians in mind. But even after all this, questions remain about the Renault Kwid for its loopholes in the security test. The car was tested for safety by Global NCAP before it arrived in 2016. But the standard obtained in the test disappointed everyone. In terms of safety, the car was able to raise only one star (1 star). Renault has since claimed that Kwid's security has been beefed up on behalf of the company.

A version of the Renault Kwid was also manufactured in Brazil, which received a three-star rating in the Latin NCAP safety test. The car's side body and front row airbags and ABS braking system are known for this success.

Renault claims to be a rival to the Maruti Suzuki Alto, which is currently adding multiple features to the car. Such as 20.31 cm touchscreen MediaNav which can be connected by Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, AMT dial on floor console, electronic ORVM etc.

By the way, Renault Kwid can be said to have enriched the design and features of the SUV car. This may prove to be the best car for those buyers who prefer a little more feature and design in their budget. That is why even after so many years, its popularity in India is growing at a significant rate.
