Apple added a new feature with iOS 12, allowing users to directly scan their documents on their iPhones and iPads using the notes app. Previous users had to get into trouble installing another app to scan documents in the Apple store.

A new update to Apple's notebook application not only allows users to scan their documents but also allows them to add their signatures to texts. Apple makes your life easier! Additionally, your scanned documents in the notes app on your device will be automatically synced to other devices using the same iCloud ID. How to scan documents with iPhone, iPad notes app

1. Open the notes app on your iPhone or iPad

2. Select an existing note from the list, if you want to add a document to it or create a new note by tapping the New Note icon in the lower right corner.

3. After opening the note, then Click the 'Camera' button and then press 'Scan Documents'

4. This will open the camera view, then place your document in your iPhone or iPad camera view

5. It will automatically scan your document, once your Auto Mode is turned on. If you do not want to use Default Mode, press the close key or one of the volume keys to scan your document image.

6. You can drag and adjust the scanner to make your scanner fit the page

7. You can continue scanning other documents, if available

8. After completing your scan, press Save and it will be saved on your device

9. You can share a scan of your document by tapping the share button.

You can add a signature to your documents using the notes app. Select the document in Notes you want to add your signature to. Next, tap the share icon with the Markup buttons. Choose a document signing tool with your finger if you want to sign it in person or you can also use Apple Pencil for iPad.

If you want to add a saved signature, then press the add button and then press the signature button, where you can select a saved signature image. Then adjust the size of the signature and tap what is done. Well done and really done! It's easy, isn't it?
