Truecaller, a popular smartphone ID search app, has introduced the 12th version of the Android app with a lot of new features. One of these new features is video call ID. By using it, users will be able to set short videos, which will appear on their device screen when calling friends or family. Also, the 'Phone Recording' feature allows for save-recording of phone conversations. Additionally, the Truecaller 12 update will include a new UI or user interface, which comes with a separate dialing and messaging tab. In addition, the features of ‘Ghost Call’ and ‘Call Announce’ have been specially introduced by Premium and Gold members. The function of the two elements is different as their name implies. Let's find out more about 5 features -

Truecaller 12 comes with these 5 new features

Video call ID: Thanks to this new update to Truecaller, users can now create a video call ID. This video will only be visible to those who use the Truecaller application in their mobile contacts list when making voice calls. You can upload your own video clip for a short shot to set a video capture id. Or you can select one of the templates in the app, which is a standard video.

Call recording: Truecaller introduced the first call recording feature in 2018. But at that time only paid members could use this feature. However, a new beta trial was recently launched. And now, in the newly launched 12th edition, the call recording feature has been made available to every user, paid and unpaid. However, keep in mind that if the phone does not have Android 5.1 or higher OS version, the call recording feature cannot be used.

If you record a call using Truecaller, it will be automatically saved in the device's internal memory. Users can share this recording via email with any messaging app. Let me tell you - it is a feature of your choice. As a result, users need to activate the call recording option. To do this for the first time you need to open the ‘Settings’ drop-down box on the left side of the app. Then, click the 'Access' option. Now, you can record a call by tapping the 'record' button at the top of the screen. The feature will apply to both incoming and outgoing calls.

(Settings> Accessibility> Recording button)

User Interface (UI): New design introduced in the case of UI or app user interaction. In this new update, call and message tabs are separated because the app will look very clean. At the same time, the call list and message section (Truecaller Message, Group Chat, Direct Message) can be easily accessed by switching tabs, the Swedish company demanded in a press release.

Announce Call: If you look at the naming pattern, I hope you understand that it will serve as a Read-Allowed feature. Simply put, Truecaller will identify the caller ID site for numbers stored on mobile contacts or anonymous numbers and provide incoming call information to the user via audio. As a result, this new feature will be especially helpful in determining whether a user will find or disconnect the phone when it is received on a busy highway or while driving. So, in terms of performance, it is very similar to iPhone's Siri Voice Assistant. By the way, the call announcement feature will work just as well when using headphones.

Ghost Calls: You can use the Ghost calls feature to get out of an uninvited situation or create a prank near friends. Truecaller said users will be able to edit fake calls by enabling this feature. If so, you may have created a false phone ID in the app by setting your desired name, number and profile picture. If you want, you can also select a known person from your phone contacts list to create a fake ID.

Note that Ghost Calling and Call Announcement - both features are only available to Premium and Gold members. If so, those of you who want to purchase a premium package at Truecaller can purchase an annual package of Rs 529 or a Rs 179 plan for a period of three months. In addition, there is a Rs 2,500 package to purchase a Gold membership, which will be valid for one year.

Truecaller said the above 5 features will be released next week. However, some features are already available for you to access the beta version. Although version 12 of Truecaller is supported on Android phones, details of how long these features will be available on iOS phones are not yet clear.

Truecaller is a landmark of over 300 million active users worldwide
