So far, users have to use WhatsApp accounts on the desktop or on the web to keep internet connectivity active on their smartphones. However, this time you will not need a mobile phone to use WhatsApp web. This device link feature is currently in beta, and in this version the feature has been labeled as 'beta' in the Linked Devices option in the settings menu as an opt-in option. In this case, if the option is enabled, first all the connected devices of the users will be unlinked. Then when the device is linked again, WhatsApp can be used without phone. Meanwhile, if someone does not log out of the account manually, LinkedIn devices will be able to receive and send messages for up to 14 days.
Naturally in today's busy life, this new feature will be very helpful to keep in touch through WhatsApp in case of any problem with the smartphone. IOS users, however, will not be able to delete messages or chat threads from the linked device. Another disadvantage of this feature is that it cannot link a secondary smartphone or tablet to the primary device (web or desktop only).
