UIDAI has launched a hotline number to help citizens solve a number of Aadhaar card issues by sending an SMS. The Unique Identification Authority of India has taken this measure so that those who do not have a smartphone or cannot use a smartphone can do all the work via SMS from a normal mobile.

Aadhaar Card is mandatory for all Indian citizens for any kind of government and private work. Those who have a smartphone can solve all the problems related to Aadhaar in minutes. But those who do not have expensive handsets have to rush to the nearest cyber cafe for quick solution of Aadhaar related problems. Smartphones have not yet reached the hands of many citizens of the country.

What are the benefits of sending SMS to the hotline number?

UIDAI has launched 1947 hotline number for Indian nationals. By sending SMS from the number registered in Aadhaar card to this number, services like creation of virtual ID of Aadhaar card, virtual ID recovery, Aadhaar card lock, Aadhaar card unlock can be enjoyed.

How to create AADHAAR VIRTUAL ID by sending SMS from ordinary phone-

* First of all you have to open the message box of your mobile.

* Type GVID on the keypad and give space.

* Then you have to type the last four digits of Aadhaar number.

* Then you have to send this message to 1947 hotline number.

* You need to type RVID to get the virtual ID.

* Then you have to type the last four digits of Aadhaar number with space and send it to the hotline number.

* In this case two options are given to get OTP.

* To get OTP with Aadhaar number, type GETOTP. Then you have to type the last four digits of Aadhaar number with a space.

* To get OTP with Virtual ID, the official Virtual ID that will be sent on behalf of UIDAI in the inbox, type GETOTP and type with a space.

* Messages typed in both methods have to be sent to 1947 hotline number.

How to unlock AADHAAR CARD by sending SMS from normal phone-

*First of all you have to open the message box of the phone and go to the right message option and type GETOTP.

* Then write the last four digits of the Aadhaar number with space and send it to the hotline number.

* Then type ENABLEBIOLOCK, type the last number of the Aadhaar number, type the six digit OTP sent by UIDAI and send it to the inbox.

* Then the work will be done.
