Apple's two new MacBook Pros
Apple has brought a completely new design MacBook Pro. Development is visible in many parts of laptops.
Apple introduced the MacBook Pro with a completely new design five years ago. The technology giant in the US did not have to listen to harsh words about that design.
In the previous design, from 'faulty keyboard design' to not having a port other than 'USB C', etc., the users have suffered a lot of problems. But the new design may get rid of them.
Engadget reports that the new MacBook Pro will be available in 14.2-inch and 16.2-inch resolutions with better resolution than previous models. The 14-inch model will have a resolution of 3,024 X 1,964. On the other hand, the resolution of the 16-inch model will be 3,456 X 2,234.
In addition, you will see the Pro Motion High Refresh rate up to 120 Hz refresh rate option. Like the iPhone, the laptop has a 'camera notch'. Engadget says the notch is menu bar shaped. However, the display space has increased compared to the past. Apple has used mini LED technology in both the models. The technology is similar to the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
This year's MacBook Pro uses Apple's own silicon 'M1 Pro'. What was heard in the rumors has been seen in reality. It is five nanometers in size, with a total of ten cores, including eight high-performance and two efficiency cores. Compared to the M1, it is 60 percent faster and has 16 graphics cores.
Apart from this Silicon, Apple has also announced the new 'M1 Max' with 32 graphics cores. That silicon from the US technology giant will have twice the memory bandwidth of the M1 Pro. Needless to say, the M1 Pro's memory bandwidth is 400 gigabytes per second.
The M1 Max will support 64GB of memory. But the previous M1 chip used to support 16 GB memory. As such, memory support is increasing a lot.
The new MacBook Pro features USB C / Thunderbolt ports. HDMI socket and SD card slot are back.
Engadget reports that even if there is no USB port, existing SD card slots and HDMI ports will reduce people's reliance on dongles.
Apple has also brought back the 'MagSafe Connector' in the MacBook Pro. The new version of MagSafe connector will be seen on the device. Prior to 2016, technology giants in the US used to use MagSafe connectors on laptops.
The new version of the MagSafe connector is different from the old one. As a result, trying to use an old charger will not work. However, if you want, you can charge using USB-C.
The camera system has also improved compared to before. You will see computational video and 1080p resolution. There will also be f / 2.0 four element lenses. The 16-inch model also has a six-speaker system.
The new keyboard design will feature the 'Caesar Switch Mechanism'. The 'touch bar' has been removed. Instead it is given as ‘Standard Function Key Row’.
Engadget thinks that the battery life of laptops should be much better. Apple says the 14-inch model can play 17 hours of continuous video. On the other hand, the 16-inch model will be able to play video for 21 consecutive hours. In addition, the two models have first charging facility. As a result, 50 percent can be charged in about 30 minutes.
Engadget mentions that two MacBook Pros are expensive. Apple has priced the 14-inch model at 1,999 $. The 18-inch version, on the other hand, is priced at 2499 $.
In the very initial stage, the 14-inch model will cost 1,999 $. M1 Pro with eight CPU cores, 14 graphics cores, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. On the other hand, to get a full ten-core M1 Pro CPU and 16-core graphics, the buyer has to spend 2,499 $. One terabyte storage facility will be added in addition to this price.
On the other hand, the initial price of the 18-inch MacBook Pro is priced at 2,499 $. At this price, you will get the same processor, graphics core and storage facilities as the 14-inch model. One terabyte of storage is enough to spend an extra two hundred dollars. It costs 3,499 $ to get a 16-inch model with 32GB of RAM and one terabyte of storage powered by the RM1 Max.
