American intelligence agncy (FBI) system hacked by hackers

The FBI has multiple email systems, one of which was hacked on Saturday, according to Austin Berglas, an official at Blue Vientiane.

Hacking is nothing new in today's world of internet and modern technology. However, if such a large intelligence agency, the security agency, is the victim of such an attack, then it is a matter of real concern. Although a little shocked to hear, the whole world has recently witnessed such an event! In fact, the day before yesterday, Saturday, some hackers asserted their power by seizing the external email system of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). And because of this cyber scandal, hackers have been known to send thousands of spam emails from the email accounts of US agencies. Following the attack, the FBI issued a statement confirming that fake mail had been leaked from the email account. According to the agency, these mails were sent by hackers to carry out cyber attacks.

FBI agency email system hacked

The FBI has not yet commented on the allegations. But according to Austin Berglas, an official at cyber security company BlueVoyant, the FBI has multiple email systems, one of which was hacked on Saturday.

The relief, however, is that it is a public-facing mail used by agents and employees. To put it bluntly, this mail contains 'unclassified' or general information of the company, without any important information. So there is no reason to worry at this moment.

How to hack FBI's email system?

According to Spamhouse, there was no malware attached to the email. The hackers did this at midnight on Saturday, probably in an attempt to insult Troy (a cyber security expert) and to embarrass the FBI. Meanwhile, it has been reported that spam messages have reached at least 1 lakh mailboxes due to this incident. In that case, the FBI has asked everyone to be careful, but Troy has not commented.
