The Moto Watch 100 becomes official: Here's everything you need to know about Motorola's smart watch.
Motorola has introduced a new smart watch and for a change, it does not work on Wear OS. The new Moto Watch 100 instead is powered by a completely new internal system of a company called Moto OS. The watch is also designed for eBuyNow, like the 2019 Moto 360.
The 2019 Moto 360 has been installed on the google Wear OS. Now with the switch to the Moto OS, the company claims the clock has better battery life and a two-week operating time, far ahead of what the Wear OS can offer.
It comes with a single size and 42mm dial with a 1.3-inch LCD display. Despite the absence of the OLED panel, which has become quite commonplace these days even on budget watches, the Moto Watch 100 still has an open display function.
There are also 26 sports modes, SPO2 tracking, heart rate monitor and basic sensors like accelerometer and gyroscope. The clock also has 5ATM water resistance and navigation, supports GLONASS, GPS, and BeiDou, a Chinese satellite navigation system. The watch also supports Bluetooth 5.0 and comes with a 355mAh battery that takes an hour to fully charge.
Apart from this, the watch offers 20mm adjustable straps and a host of colorful options to choose from. The case itself will be available in two colors, Glacier Silver and Phantom Black. The dimensions are 42x46x11.9mm and the clock weighs 45.8 grams.
Price and availability
The Moto Watch 100 is priced at $ 99.99 (approximately Rs 7,441) and is available for pre-order from now on. Interested buyers can do this by visiting the official website. Pre-order units are expected to ship by December 10.
The availability of the clock in other regions outside the US, including India, has not been confirmed. We'll have to wait for Motorola to release more details in the same way.
