New rumors have spread in the technology product market; Top technology giant Apple at the center of rumors. Rumor has it that iPhone manufacturers are working on multiple prototypes of foldable phones. Apple launched the first iPhone on January 9, 2007. Shortly afterwards, the company took over the position of the world's top smartphone maker. But Apple has never made a foldable smartphone.                  Picture Courtesy: Google Apple is working on a prototype of multiple foldable smartphones - the news came from a reliable data leaker, according to the 9 to 5 Mac. However, due to the complexity of the display technology, it is not clear whether Apple will market commercial versions of the foldable prototypes at all. However, the prototype that is being tested is certain - the leaked claim of the information. Apple is skeptical about whether there will be a demand for foldable phones in the technology market, or whether it will be l...

Wi-Fi HaLow: Wi-Fi can be used up to 1 km away, new technology is coming

Internet connectivity can be provided through Wi-Fi HaLow access points to about 8,000 devices within a radius of one kilometer.

The next generation of Wi-Fi technology is about to revolutionize the world of connectivity. The technology, known as Wi-Fi HaLow, has already sparked speculation among many tech-enthusiasts. And why not? Using Wi-Fi HaLow technology, it is known that it is possible to maintain long distance internet connection up to 1 km with low battery consumption. The Wi-Fi Alliance, a joint venture of Wi-Fi service providers around the world, recently certified the Wi-Fi HaLow technology in question, which is significant.

The new generation of Wi-Fi HaLow technology has been designed keeping in mind the widespread emergence of Internet of Things or IoT devices in general. Nowadays, the number of IoT devices inside and outside the home is constantly increasing which is by no means insignificant. The Wi-Fi Hello technology will help keep these devices connected to the Internet throughout the day. Of course, the Wi-Fi Alliance has also commented on its usefulness.

Please note that there is no need to build new infrastructure to use Wi-Fi Hello. This technology will work based on the current Wi-Fi protocol. Even using the Wi-Fi devices available at this time will not be a problem to take advantage of the technology in question.

How does Wi-Fi HaLow works

The standard Wi-Fi service we use basically operates at 2.4 GHz (GHz) - 5 GHz radio frequency. In this case, due to the high bandwidth, it is possible to transfer more data in a short time. On the other hand, 1 GHz spectrum is essential for operating Wi-Fi Hello technology. Due to the short frequency it provides a relatively long wavelength. This means that the signal in the technology in question is able to cover a longer distance than the standard Wi-Fi version. That's why the Wi-Fi Alliance claims that Internet connectivity can be provided to about 8,000 devices within a radius of one kilometer through Wi-Fi HaLow access points.

However, with the increase in service usage limits, the speed of data transfer in Wi-Fi Hello technology will be much lower. So this technology may be ideal for growing IoT devices. Because in their case there is no need to transfer too much data through internet. Moreover, there is a need to send some very simple instructions, which can be sent through Wi-Fi HaLow technology. Note that smart door locks, cameras, air conditioners and many more devices are examples of IoT devices.

Aside from the house, Wi-Fi HaLow technology can be very useful in industry and agriculture as well. This technology may be used to control traffic in different smart cities. Technology enthusiasts also believe that Wi-Fi HaLow will be effective in meeting multiple needs of our daily lives.
